Visiting Prince Albert II in Monaco27.10.2008

Picture of the day

When we reached Monte Carlo the Police was already waiting for us at the "border". Our first meeting was with Venturi, a car company based in Monaco who is very much into the development of electric and even solar cars.

Then the Police escorted us to the Palace, where we had the honour to meet Prince Albert. He is very interested in questions related to climate change, and so he liked the idea of educating people about new technology with a project like this one. The Prince drove the solartaxi around in his courtyard and it was a great discussion.

At the end of the day, I left Monaco with my passenger Sabine Grebien. She had helped me to set up marketing and communications for the solartaxi project, and I was delighted to meeting her again here in Monaco.

I had started driving this monring at 4 am in Saint Raphael, and I got back to the fire station in Saint Raphael again at 9:30 pm. It was a long but successful day.

Hi,
You're doing a great wonderful thing here!
While you were in Monaco, you might have gone to Carros (Nice) where MDI is making the air car. Have a look at www.aircars.tk
Keep on the good work!!!
