Crash in Jaipur30.10.2007

Picture of the day

Almost a desaster! We were on the way to see the Maharaja in Jaipur, when a Hyundai crashed into our trailer. It seemed to be a little thing, but the driver of the Hyundai insisted it would have been our fault. Even when the POlice showed up he wanted us to pay for his damage. Such a .... ! I thought it was quite funny, though, but then the Police told us they now lock up both cars until the court finds a solution, I realized the situation, because this could take up to 6 years! No way!!! Incredible! Luckily, Thomas had filmed the accident from a following rikshaw, and the old guy driver finally agreed somehow that he will pay for his own damage as we can proof it on video, too, that HR crashed into us. See the video in our video collection!

For all the help in jaipur I would like to thank Aditya and Neha, our local organisors.

On the way from Udaipur to Jaipur, we stopped in Kishengar and met the Maharaja there, too. The signs of global warming are very much visible in Rajastan, too. Instead of 40 inches of rain they only get about 2 inches now. The lakes sometimes dry out. Even the big lake in Udaipur was dry just recently, and the lake in Kishengar is ony 25 % of its former size.
